Nevisel for mortgage lending

The approved wording, for every borrower.

Requests for conditions, document checklists, rate lock confirmations, updates for borrowers and their agents. Type a short binding where you are already writing, and the paragraph compliance approved is there, word for word. Nothing leaves the computer.

A borrower portal message about Loan 2026-HV-0318. Typing ;sef and a space becomes: For Loan 2026-HV-0318, because the borrower is self-employed, we need specific documentation for review. Please provide the following items: 1. Complete federal tax returns for the last two years. 2. A year-to-date profit and loss (P&L) statement from the business. 3. Business bank statements covering the last three months.
Rosa Delgado, a synthetic loan processor, types ;sef and a space in a borrower portal. The people, lender and loan number are fictional.

Conditions and updates, everywhere you write.

Your loan origination system has its own letters. The rest of the day happens somewhere else: the email to the borrower, the update to their agent, a message to the underwriter, the borrower portal. A Nevisel binding works in every app on your computer, with today's date, the lock expiration and the documents still needed filled in as it expands.

Consistent, careful, private.

The same words

Compliance approves the wording once.

On Windows, the shared library comes from your own Microsoft SQL Server. Only the editors it names can change it, and SQL Server itself records who changed each shared phrase, what it said afterwards, and when. Every processor sends the approved version.

Careful by default

Social Security numbers are refused.

Nevisel refuses snippets, shared phrases, notes and imports that look like a Social Security number or a labelled date of birth, and names the line to fix. It is a guard rail, not a guarantee: it cannot recognise names, loan numbers or account numbers.

Private by design

There is no cloud copy of your wording.

Snippets and notes live in a database on the computer. There is no Nevisel account, no telemetry and no activation server, and expansion never touches the network. Notes can be locked with a secret phrase.

Two desks, one file.

We gave a synthetic loan processor and the underwriter she sends files to their own sandbox copies of Nevisel, and let each build the library they would keep. Both are working Loan 2026-HV-0318.

She types ;usm and a space in an email to the borrower

An email to the borrower about Loan 2026-HV-0318. Typing ;usm and a space becomes: Loan 2026-HV-0318 has been successfully submitted to the underwriting team for their detailed review. This means our file is moving into the next major phase of processing. I will monitor their feedback closely and update you as soon as I hear back.

From her notes

The goal is always to be transparent and supportive without making any promises that could later become liabilities for the company. … What I cannot say: 'You are approved,' or 'Your rate is locked until next Tuesday.' When issuing conditions, I always frame them as 'Next Steps Required' rather than 'Deficiencies.' … This directly supports the process outlined in [[New Application Setup Protocol]].

Her rate lock confirmation asks for the lock expiration as it expands, and says every time that the lock does not guarantee final approval.

She types ;susp and a space in the file's note to processing

An underwriting note to processing about Loan 2026-HV-0318. Typing ;susp and a space becomes: This file cannot be decided at this time due to missing information regarding the source of the down payment funds. Please provide clarification or documentation detailing the origin of these assets for Loan 2026-HV-0318. I will suspend the file until this information is received.

From her notes

The rule is absolute: one specific requirement per condition issued to the processor, Rosa Delgado, ensuring the borrower can resolve it in a single submission. Vague requests lead to iterative back-and-forth, which delays closing timelines unnecessarily. … This methodical approach directly supports the goal outlined in [[Documentation Review Protocol]].

Her two decline notes take the principal reason from one shared list, so no reason is typed freehand.

The people, lender and loan number are fictional. The animations re-enact what their sandbox libraries produced: the phrase text is exactly what Nevisel typed, and the notes are trimmed.

Start with their wording.

Two snippet packs to import into Nevisel, one for loan processors and one for underwriters, written from the desks above. Dates and choices fill in as each phrase expands, none of them promises an approval or a rate, and they are yours to edit into your company's approved wording.

Your role

What we do not claim.

Nevisel is a writing tool, not a loan origination system or a system of record, and it does not by itself make anyone compliant with fair lending, privacy or safeguards rules. What it does is keep your wording on your computer, where your company's own safeguards already apply, give every borrower the wording you approved, and refuse the identifiers it can recognise.
